View Source Record in Web of Science

This feature lets you go from a reference in the EndNote library to the record for the same work in Web of Science. The entry will appear in the browser that is set by default on your machine.
The feature assumes that the current reference has registered an ID number from Web of Science or U.S. National Library of Medicine and that you have access to a subscription to the Web of Science services.

There are three possible steps for this feature. They do the exact same thing, so find the method that best suits your workflow.

Procedure 1, using the toolbar

  • Open the current reference in the EndNote library
  • Click on the «View Source Record» button () on the toolbar
  • The references appears in the «Web of Science» base in your default browser

Procedure 2, using the menu

  • Mark the current reference in the EndNote library
  • Select «Web of Science» from the «References» menu
  • Select «View Source Record»
  • The references appears in the «Web of Science» base in your default browser

Procedure 3, using right-click

  • Mark the current reference in the EndNote library
  • Right-click on the reference
  • Select «Web of Science» from the pop-up menu
  • Select «View Source Record»
  • The references appears in the «Web of Science» base in your default browser
