Layout for figures and tables
The layout of figures and tables described on this page applies only to items inserted into the Word document from an EndNote library. Also note that some of the choices presented here may be overridden by the layout of the output style used.
(See more on output styles.)
It is also worth remembering that the Word program has far better and more flexible functionality for handling figures and tables than the addition of EndNote can offer.
It is outside the mandate of this guide to get closer into this.
How to define layouts for figures and tables:
- Select «Preferences» from the «EndNote X9» menu in Word
- Select the «Figures and Tables» tab in the dialog box that pops up
- The first check option specifies that the figures / tables should be placed immediately after the section they were inserted into.
The second option specifies that the figures / tables should be placed exactly where they were inserted into the continuous text.
